In my case, my brilliant vet was Susan, and she was first brilliant for me in my role as Sub Editor for both The Irish Field and The Irish Farmers Journal. There was nothing in breeding I couldn’t ask Susan to write about, despite how busy she was – she always delivered technically thorough yet accessible articles that anyone at any stage in their breeding career could gain practical knowledge.
